Encouraging sales

Over the last couple of months we've had reasonable success in selling our walls and hedges. All that have been put up for auction on eBay have sold. This has been encouraging so our thoughts are turning to what else we might add to our range. As previously mention minefields may well be next. Masters have been made and are ready for casting the first moulds. Roads will follow and these will match the geometry of our walls and hedges.

We do have other ideas for scenic items but we need to walk before we can run...

Thoughts on Minefields

One item we've been musing over for a while are minefields. Recently Mark has been experimenting with a couple of options. He's also been questioning what style the minefields should take, with mines showing or not, with barbed wire or not, and/or minefield signs?

We use Rapid Fire rules for our WWII games and these rules do allow dummy minefields to be put out on the table. This does pose the question, how can a dummy minefield have mines showing if it is not a minefield? If the dummy has no mines showing and the real minefields have mines poking their noses above ground, then it is pretty obvious which is the dummy and which is the minefield ......

So we think we have come to the conclusion that minefields should not have mines showing. They should represent rough broken ground that might indicate mines are present. The fact that they might be enclosed in barbed wire and have a 'danger minefield' sign is no indication that mines have been laid.....

With the above in mind we are looking to produce some masters for minefields. More on this topic to follow.......
